To maintain a mower you would first: Check the oil/ change the oil of needed , Then sharpen the blade on the mower/ Buy a new blade, Then make sure all safeties work on the mower.
To clean oil off the mower: Make sure it is at air temperature and cool, Then use: Simple Green, Spray 9 and spray it on the mower and scrub the simple green or spray 9 and wash and it will look brand new trust me.
