I wanted to write a fable as a homeschool project. Let me know what you think.
Jonny and Timmy are Squirrels. Jonny is always playing and having a fun time. Timmy is collecting nuts for the winter and Jonny is not collecting nuts. Jonny thinks that Timmy is boring and always planning. When winter came, Jonny sees that Timmy is eating a nut and asked, "Where did you get the nut from?" Timmy replied, "I saved this nut from the summer. When you were having fun, I was preparing for winter." Jonny asked, "Can I have one? I am hungry." Timmy said, "Yes you can have one let me get one for you. You can have one but next spring I want you to prepare for winter." Jonny said yes to preparing for winter and the squirrels friends enjoyed their nuts together.
Lesson: Prepare ahead of time and surround yourself with smart friends
